Using appropriate boundary protection to control connections between devices, networks and the internet.
A recognised, Government-backed standard that reflects the practical cyber security controls behind our organisation and services.
RecordMy has achieved Cyber Essentials certification. The award confirms that our organisation has been assessed against the scheme’s requirements and has the core technical controls in place to help defend against the most common internet-based cyber threats.
For a safeguarding software provider, protecting systems and information is fundamental. This certification provides customers, partners and procurement teams with clear, externally assessed evidence of the security baseline supporting the way we operate.
Cyber Essentials is the minimum cyber security standard recommended by the UK Government for organisations of all sizes. Developed by the National Cyber Security Centre, it focuses on five technical control areas that help prevent common attacks from succeeding.
Using appropriate boundary protection to control connections between devices, networks and the internet.
Reducing unnecessary exposure by configuring systems and services securely and removing avoidable points of weakness.
Applying security updates so known vulnerabilities cannot be readily used as a route into systems.
Restricting access to the people who need it and managing accounts and privileges appropriately.
Putting measures in place to prevent malicious software from compromising devices, services and information.
Cyber Essentials gives organisations a straightforward way to identify suppliers that meet a recognised cyber security baseline. For current and prospective RecordMy customers, our certification adds another layer of assurance when reviewing security, governance and procurement requirements.
RecordMy’s certificate is registered to Fuchsia Industries Ltd trading as RecordMy and can be checked directly through the Blockmark Registry.
Certification is an important milestone, but effective security depends on controls being maintained as technology, threats and working practices change. We will continue to review our systems, update our protections and build security into the way RecordMy is developed and operated.
That continuing work supports the trust organisations place in RecordMy when they use our platform for sensitive safeguarding, wellbeing, behaviour and health and safety records.
If your organisation is reviewing RecordMy, our team can help with security questions, supplier due diligence and the information needed for your procurement process.
